Give Me Extinction Or Give Me Death!

by ICONICIDE

  • Compact Disc (CD)

Iconicide's 8th CD, and the band's 21st release, commemorates 27 Years of "Defying Odds and Building Armies" on the Underground of NYC. This album is dedicated to the memory of Shane Keogh, bassist for one of the band's most creative periods.

    Album Notes
Iconicide is the musical convergence that exists at the Nexus between Big Bands and Street Punk, between Thrash and No Wave, between Dub Reggae and Death Metal. Comparisons have been drawn to such bands as Venom, the Exploited, Dark Throne, Celtic Frost and Bathory, for sheer power and momentum, and biting social, political and religious commentary paints them as a darker, vicious and more world weary version of Crass. Bearing no concern for aligning themselves with any Flavor of the Month, the band, on the cover for Give Me Extinction Or Give Me Death!, displays the logo for the Voluntary Human Extinction Movement, an entity with whom they had previously declared solidarity on their albums "Jesus Is The Bomb," "Father, Son, Holocaust," and their full length live CD, "Jesus Corpse: D.N.R."

about

ICONICIDE New York, New York

ICONICIDE are a NYC based band whose sound has ranged from sludgy political dirges to blazing fast thrash, from toe tapping street punk to a lethal mix of dub reggae and death metal. Underlying it all has been what spurred frontman Chris (the Antimessiah) to start the band back in 1988: the stripped down, no nonsense, rip out your guts sound of Early 80s New York Hardcore. ... more
